Dali Fazon Mikro Vokal Review – Center Speaker

The Dali Fazon Mikro Vokal is the Danish company’s sporadic entry into the compact market. Dali is well renowned for its no-compromise, ridiculously gorgeous audiophile speakers (like the stunning Fazon F5s). The Fazon Mikro Vokal centre, there is also a package of Fazon Mikro which has four small Fazon Mikro satellite speakers, and the E-9 F subwoofer is all included in this 5.1 speaker kit but we mention about only Fazon Mikro Vokal center speaker.

It may be small, but at more than ₹19,500, it’s not exactly a cheap sub/sat setup. Design

The 196mm-high Fazon Mikro front and rear satellites appear rather normal from a distance, but up close, their opulent design is evident. A shining aluminium trim surrounds the removable silky black cloth grille, which covers the entire front portion and bends over the top. They are robust and heavy, just the kind of quality you would expect for more than a grand.

The curved rear is covered in high-gloss black lacquer (also available in white), and a recess holds a square DALI insignia and reliable gold push button connectors. This has grooves all the way around it so you can slip the included clips in. One of these supports the speaker on its side for centre channel use, while the other one allows you to wall-mount it. The silver DALI badge has been moved on the centre channel Fazon Mikro Vokal, which is essentially a regular Mikro turned on its side with identical specs.

Sound Quality

The DALI array is connected to my Cambridge Audio receiver and immediately shows potential. Despite having a frequency response dip at 95Hz, the Fazon Mikro—which is not exactly a bass monster—allows for the placement of a crossover at the point when the E-9 F almost becomes omnidirectional. In order to make the DALI package sound broader and more expansive than you might expect, this creates a seamless coherence that is frequently lacking when the crossover has to be set higher.
