High-Performance Audio

The OPTICON MK2 expands on the MK1 series’ remarkable performance to offer a real 2-way small performer. This high-performance bookshelf speaker is designed for small to medium-sized rooms and features our characteristic wood fibre cone and unique low-loss SMC magnet system, giving low distortion, little coloration, and great power handling.

LIGHTWEIGHT SOFT DOME

The dual flare form of the OPTICON MK2 speakers reduces turbulence at the entry and exit flares. As a lightweight soft-dome speaker, the MP3 player channels unused woofer acoustic output to boost low-frequency bandwidth and power handling.

Patented SMC

A huge ferrite ring magnet surrounds a pole piece made completely of the unique DALI SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) material in the OPTICON MK2 series driver magnet system. It minimises mechanical distortion due by hysteresis and eddy currents, as well as third-order distortion, for more enjoyable listening.
