The M-1 speakers contain a 4″ braided fibreglass midrange woofer and a 1″ metal dome tweeter. Since they can manage 100 watts of amplifier power, they are compatible with almost any AV receiver. And we really did mean it when we stated they were adaptable. Each speaker features a base with a rubber plate that unscrews to reveal a Torx screwdriver and push-spring-style binding posts that may be wall or tabletop mounted. We hope they didn’t patent this idea since we’d want to see other manufacturers utilise it as well.
These terminals are positioned in such a manner that you can feed bare wire into the base of the speaker without displaying any connectors on the exterior. When the M-1 speakers were used with the sub, the result was a rich, smooth sound with a great middle and distinct highs. But it wasn’t the case with us at first. It required some adjusting. To ensure that you deliver enough of the necessary frequencies to the subwoofer, where they’ll receive better treatment than through the M-1s, experiment with adjusting your crossover at approximately 100Hz or so.
We didn’t obtain the finest results from an 80Hz crossover; the mid-bass was a little underwhelming, despite the specs claiming a 3dB point at 64Hz. But as soon as I logged in, the system started working. We believe that where you place the crossover in your specific application will depend on a combination of taste and your room’s acoustics.
Our Verdict
Many speakers at B&W are geared at a far more discerning audience. The B&W MT-50 system makes a LOT more noise than it actually does. Add the delivery’s punch, quickness, and attention to detail, and you have a method that is really entertaining.

Design
The M-1 bookshelf speakers have a modern appearance and are highly attractive. Although they also offer a matte white finish, Bowers & Wilkins’ MT-50 system came with the matte black finish as standard. Steel with holes has been used to create the matching grills. With spring-loaded binding posts, the M-1 enables covert wiring at the rear of the table stand plinth. A two-way vented box system, the M-1 is five pounds in weight. An internal Nautilus tube-loaded, one-inch aluminium dome tweeter was added to the M-1. A four-inch woven glass fibre cone driver, which uses the anti-resonance plug originally seen in the seductive PM1, handles the low and midrange frequencies. The M-1 is stylish and emanates an air of unsurpassed quality. When placed on the provided table stand, the dimensions are 10 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide by 6.5 inches deep.
Sound Quality
We were impressed by the sound. The B&W MT-50 system makes a LOT more noise than it actually does. And although watching movies like How to Train Your Dragon, Inception, and Men in Black clearly demonstrated the ASW608’s amazing imaging and bass response, it was music that captured our attention.

Conclusion
The Bowers & Wilkins MT-50 makes me question my prejudice. During two-channel listening, it is clear that Bowers & Wilkins has made some notable improvements to both the M-1 tiny loudspeaker and their Mini Theater systems as a whole. The Bowers & Wilkins MT-50 system isn’t a cheap purchase in the traditional sense, but it excels at music, home theatre, and gaming, making it, in my opinion, the Swiss Army knife of home theatre systems.
The new Bowers & Wilkins MT-50 system has an auditory degree of refinement that puts it in the keeper category, and I want to keep it for a very long time.
The Punchy, Powerful, And Unobstructive
Length of Use: 6–12 months
Overall Experience:
Take five M-1 speakers, which are small, stealthy, and highly effective. Include the ASW608 subwoofer, which is punchy, powerful, and similarly unobtrusive. Although it is true that this small system lacks the dynamic power of larger or more expensive packages, it should nevertheless struggle.
