Paradigm Premier 700F Review – Floorstanding Speaker

The Paradigm Premier 700F is a sleek, sophisticated tower that deceitfully conceals the actual refinement and scope of its sound reproduction. It has a 4-driver 3-way configuration with a 1″ (25mm) X-PAL dome Tweeter and a 512″ (140mm) carbon-infused polypropylene Midrange that both feature the distinctive perforated phase-aligning lens. A pair of high performance 512″ (140mm) ART surround polypropylene bass drivers completes the package. The 700F can fill a medium to large room with powerful sound that is full of impact and emotion thanks to its low frequency extension down to 33Hz.

The focus of Paradigm’s Premier portfolio is on providing superior performance at surprisingly reasonable costs. The Premier 700F tower speaker rivals speakers costing twice as much thanks to its natural response, ample depth in the soundstage, and excellent level of articulation. All of that is made possible by the use of cutting-edge drivers that Paradigm themselves prototyped and perfected in their unwavering pursuit of high-quality sound.

Our Verdict

5.0 avg. rating (87% score) - 1 vote

Nothing less from the Premier 700F speakers was what I anticipated. The 700F speakers did, in fact, easily live up to my expectations. Contrary to the show setting, listening to them up close and in a comfortable environment really helped me appreciate the speakers’ capabilities more.

Design

Design

According to Paradigm, its Canadian plant is where its speakers are designed and constructed. But “Made in Canada”—which is more specific—is not used. That may imply that a significant portion of the elements, such as the drivers and crossover components, are produced abroad. But today, most loudspeakers share that trait, and the majority of the competition to the Premier line is fully made abroad.

Sound Quality

Sound Quality

I decided on a Premier 700F tower with a review system anchored. I picked the Premier 500C, the smaller of the two Premier centres, as my centre. Other than a model similar to the left and right channels (which, in most home theatres, would obscure the screen! ), the 500C is a three-way speaker with a distinct midrange. As L/R surrounds, a pair of Premier 200Bs completed the system. These employ a 6.5-inch woofer and the identical tweeter as the other variants. The 500C is sealed compared to the rear-ported 700F and 200B. All Premier models are compatible with 8 ohms, though no minimum impedance is specified.

Carbon-infused polypropylene is utilised to create the cones in the 700F and the woofers in the 500C. All of the Premier models’ tweeter domes are made of black-anodized, pure aluminium X-PAL, which is also the material used for the midrange in the 500C. The cone drivers’ surrounds are made with Active Ridge Technology (ART). This raises driver excursion, according to Paradigm, for lower distortion and higher output (professed at 50% and +3dB, respectively).

FAQ’s

Is Paradigm Premier 700F excellent speaker?

Since its inception, Paradigm has built a reputation for creating speakers of exceptional quality. The entirely new Monitor SE series carries on this legacy. Many of the same technologies utilised in their more costly series are available for extremely low prices.

Does Paradigm Premier 700F has good sound quality?

Both the cones in the 700F and the woofers in the 500C are made of carbon-infused polypropylene. Pure aluminium X-PAL that has been black anodized serves as both the midrange and tweeter domes for all Premier models, including the 500C. The surrounds for the cone drivers are created using Active Ridge Technology (ART). According to Paradigm, this increases driver excursion for reduced distortion and more output (claimed at 50% and +3dB, respectively).

How is the design of Paradigm Premier 700F?

Paradigm claims that the design and production of its speakers takes place in a Canadian facility. However, the more precise phrase “Made in Canada” is not utilised. That might mean that a sizable percentage of the components, such the drivers and crossover parts, are made elsewhere. But currently, the majority of loudspeakers have that characteristic, and the bulk of the Premier line’s rivals are entirely built abroad.

Conclusion

The adaptable speakers in the Paradigm Premier 700F speaker system under examination here deliver satisfactory levels of musicality for stereo music applications in addition to strong home theatre performance. The strong individual interpretations of the system’s distinctive components provide the foundation of the system’s overall reliable operation. The Premier 700F floorstanders, which serve as the main speakers, are equally at home in stereo or surround applications.
