Woofer
The structure of the woofer cone is light, rigid, and randomly uneven, which decreases the complexity of the motor’s core, ensures piston-like motion, greatly lowers the likelihood of surface resonance, and minimises distortion. The soft, low-loss rubber surround was created especially for the RUBICON Series and features a cast-aluminum chassis that maximises airflow around the cone and magnet system.
Hybird Tweeter
The soft dome tweeter and ribbon element in the DALI hybrid tweeter module work together to produce an incredible portrayal of high-frequency nuances. The RUBICON soft dome’s voice-coil is incredibly light and manoeuvrable, which aids in its ability to produce a wider bandwidth. As the soft dome becomes more directional at higher frequencies, the ribbon tweeter, the master of wide dispersion, provides continuous wide dispersion down to 2.5 kHz when used in conjunction with the soft dome. This extremely wide dispersion and bandwidth play a significant role in DALI’s sound concept.
Low Loss Drivers
The low-loss drivers, which are directly mounted onto the 25 mm thick front baffle, have a sturdy base thanks to the charmingly designed RUBICON cabinet. To reduce turbulence and provide excellent timing, the bass reflex port is placed precisely below the woofer on this interior.
