The Epson EH-LS500B is an extremely short-throw LCD projector that supports 4K and HDR playback, employs long-life laser illumination, and is obviously more geared for the living room than the boardroom. Like the majority of extremely short-throw projectors, the EH-LS500B has an ungainly appearance. Its primary bodywork consists of a simple rectangular shape with a big lens sticking out from the top border and speakers incorporated into the felt-covered front edge. You hardly notice the connections on the back side since it is so near to the wall.
The EH-LS500B is offered in black or white; however, the white version is undoubtedly more appealing. The lens is intended to produce images with sizes ranging from 65 to 130 inches at throw distances between 0.4 and 0.82 meters. Therefore, the EH-LS500B may be conveniently kept constantly on a sideboard and is ready to shoot into a wall or, preferably, a screen.

Design
It is compact for an ultra-short throw design. The construction quality is also remarkably good. The EH-LS500B is made to be simple to set up. Its projection angle is adjustable via screw-down feet on the back edge, and a straight-forward focus slider is located below the removable speaker cover. A useful corner adjustment keeps consistency all the way across the image, and vertical and horizontal keystone adjustments are available to bring the corners of your image straight.
Picture Quality
Along with the 4000-lumen brightness claim, an even higher 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio is stated. However, under any practical circumstances, this sounds insane, so let’s quickly move on to something more reasonable: a stated laser life of 20,000 hours if you choose the Eco light mode. That translates to over 10,000 movies with no maintenance. Over the course of the laser’s life, you won’t notice the same kind of brightness and colour degradation that you do with lamp projectors.

Conclusion
The Epson LS500 is a carefully designed device that eventually performs as promised. The Epson LS500 produces a very bright image, even in a well-lit room, with good subjective contrast, shadow detail, colour performance, and image resolution when used with Epson’s SilverFlex Ultra UST screen.
Epson has produced an incredibly well-rounded device that, in my opinion, will appeal to a wide audience when you take into account its other characteristics, such as video processing, a well-implemented AndroidTV operating system, and input lag performance essential for competitive gaming.
5-star rating if the remote controls functioned
Overall Experience:
The projector itself is excellent. I adore the brightness capabilities and how easy it is to use; however, I wish it had a more reliable (and functional) remote like some of the other 4K Epson products I have come across. I’ve got it working with a fantastic 4K picture coming from a Yamaha RX-A2 head unit.
